Model 1: regulatory armband parachuted into the great maquis of the South-West by the Special Services of Algiers.
Adopted in May or June 1944, its general appearance takes up the flag of the FNFL (Free French Naval Forces): blue on the left side, red on the right and in its center a cross of Lorraine on a white rhombus.
Cut from an old cotton linen, partly dyed in blue and red. The cross of Lorraine is black painted on a same cotton linen rhombus. Black rectangular 2-pin buckle resembling the original model.
Dimensions: 40 x 11 cm.
Model 2: armband with a death's head, crossed by two tibias. End of World War II (1944). Worn on the upper part of the greatcoat sleeve.
Black background wool. Lining: identical bottom wool.
Death's head insignia, crossed by two tibias. Black buckle almost identical to that of the presentation model (original buckle if possible).
