Has 3 braids to differentiate to differentiate African troops from those in mainland France during boarding control, following the request of the occupation authorities on September 16, 1941.
This distinction has been kept since (publication in the Official Bulletin on July 17, 1942).

Possibility to be specify 2 braids in the customization.

- Embroidered braid color (to be specified the number in the customization): light green, daffodil, scarlet or other (on request),

- Embroidered number color to be specify in the customization): white, daffodil, other (on request).
